No. To lock boosting lobbies in Modern Warfare 2, (under bare bones, i don't know about regular free for all) have your party hold X before you enter the lobby, then the leader holds X as soon as your about to enter, continue to hold X until you can move IN GAME. if one person fails to do this, the lobby will not be locked, minimum of 4 people to lock, max of 6, if you invite someone to the game after entering it unlocks the lobby.
