Directions to the forest temple

I forget off the top of my head, but the easiest way to find out, is to simply go back to the Lost Woods as a Kid and follow Saria's Song, noting down which turns are made and where. Then go back as an Adult. The directions do not change.

Go through Woodfall until you reach a platform with an altar. On the altar, play the Sonata of Awakening, which will cause the temple to rise. While going through Woodfall, watch out for the dragonflies, which can cause you to fall into the poisonous swamp. You can kill them by using Deku Link's bubbles. Also be sure to hit the owl statue on the platform with your sword so that you can return there with the Song of Soaring.

In the Head Goron, Darunia's room is a statue that can be moved. Alternatively you can go to the very top of Death Mountain and work your way down from the entrance up there.

It is in the sacred forest meadow and above the stump where Saria sat, that is where the Temple is. You will need the hook shot that is found in the grave yard.
