Modern Marvels - 1994 Castles and Dungeons 9-2 was released on: USA: 7 January 2003
Not all castles have dungeons. Motte and Baileys didn't because there wasn't many criminals and they were made of wood and straw. Stone Keeps(the next ones) did have dungeons for enemies. In the dungeon was fragments, spittle, bits of old beer, excretion and vomit from stomach bugs. If you need more information go to... www.middle-ages.co.uk which is a great website with pacts of information!!!!! thankyou and i hope this helped!!!

Draw bridge, moat, queen, king, rooms, towers, dungeons. They all had a barn, and some had a curtain.
There still are kings and queens and probably still castles but I think you're referring to the medieval time.
Not all medieval castles had torture chambers. While some castles included spaces for torture as part of their dungeons or prison areas, many served primarily as fortifications and residences without such facilities. The presence of torture chambers depended on the castle's purpose, the lord's practices, and the legal customs of the region. Overall, torture was not a universal feature of medieval castles.
The Normans built around 500 castles of varies types and size throughout England and Wales after the invasion of England in 1066. About 90 are still standing, many intact and still occupied and many in a state of ruin. The link below has more good information about Norman Castles.
You can find existing castles in many different countries The castles that are still standing today are all stone castles as the earlier Motte and Bailey castles are made out of wood and would have rotted down.
Medival castles do still exist in various places around the world. They are not being constructed in this age, but remain as historical landmarks. There are quite a few types of castles around the world including: Motte and bailey castles, Stone castles, square keep castles etc...
