Absolutely not. I have traded 15 or so games to EB Games thus far, and they will give you store credit (or cash, whichever you want) for the game regardless of whether or not you have the manual. On a sidenote, I would not recommend trading in games because you can make a lot more money selling them on eBay or elsewhere. For instance, I got $3 for trading in a specific game, and if I had listed it on eBay, I would have made at least $15. But it's your choice.
