I started with Oblivion but saw my Dad playing Fallout 3. Fallout 3 has a much better tutorial but there is a lot of wondering about. still at least 5 times better than Oblivion though. I say go with Fallout 3 but the storyline is crap.

Yes there is a Fallout 3 Game of the year Addition, for the ps3 it is 20 or 30 Dollars at GameStop, you may have a hard time finding it, I had to look for quit some time for my copy. Hope that helped and have fun Fallout 3 is my all time favorite RPG and is a still great game.
