Cyberbullying (and cyberbullies) pertains to one using cyberspace to harass another person, (e.g. text messages, social networks, chat rooms, etc).Regular bullying (and regular bullies) is face to face and more physical; it usually happens in places a person shows up on a steady consistent basis (e.g. work, school, a park or playground, etc).
No one is benefiting from cyber bulling. The cyber bully may think they have the power over their victim, but programs within the police department; schools along with pro active teachers; parents and even the students starting anti bullying are proving to work out fairly well. Laws are changing to charge cyber bullies when caught whether they are minors or not. New Jersey has the toughest anti bullying laws in the United States and some other States are starting to follow suit.
Some results of cyber bullying are thoughts of suicide, not going to school/work, or suicide. a few years ago there was a girl that committed suicide and her mother was so depressed, mad and lonely. the girl was only like 15 or 16 years of age, when she did not show up to school for a while everyone got worried and they found her dead. also there was a note in her room and they found the man for the reason she killed herself. the mother took the man to court and he got in jail. and probably is still in jail now ...
it affects their lives, school work, etc.it also leads to suicide and it may kill someone by having nightmares, sadness, stomach aches, deprssions and headaches.
if it is in school consult the teacher and talk to her about it if that doesnt work talk to a guidance councelar
