No, the intercooler is a simple little device that props into the back of your console and into a USB port then whenever you turn on your xbox its a fan blowing 15MBZ of cool air into your hard drive... IT HELPS ALOT!
original xbox - turn it off and wait a few hours. xbox 360 - a) buy an intercooler (£20 - £30 max) b) turn it off, unplug everything connected to it and leave it in a relatively cool place for an hour or so to completely cool it down. NOTE: the intercooler doesn't cool the xbox down completely, just a bit. also, you have to be carefull which brand of intercooler you buy because some have been known to damage the xbox. to be safe i'd go with official Microsoft products as they tend to be more reliable, if a bit expensive.
No.
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT use the Nyko InterCooler for your Xbox 360. There have been a large number of cases where the Nyko InterCooler actually shortens the life of the Xbox 360 rather than lengthen it. This happens mainly because the Xbox 360 is set to run on a certain amount of power, and the "brick" supplies that amount of power. When the InterCooler is attached, it saps power from the Xbox 360 to work the fans. In response, the Xbox 360's fans do not get the amount of power that they need to work correctly usually causing the Xbox 360 to overheat. Overheating is the main cause of the infamous 3 red rings of death, the 1 red ring of death, and other fatal problems. Additionally, some cases report that the plastic from the Nyko InterCooler has melted onto the Xbox 360 console. A few people have even been unlucky enough to have the Nyko InterCooler pull out pins from the motherboard upon removal. Again, do not, I repeat, DO NOT use the Nyko InterCooler for your Xbox 360.
Blows out but would recomend buying a intercooler for the xbox
Yes, the Nyko Intercooler keep the XBox at a lower temperature and prevents it from overheating often. anonymous@oola.com
No. There are so much news that will messed up the xbox 360.
no, you don't need extra coolinf fan for ur xbox, i don't and ive had it for 2 years. my friend has one, but that's just because his xbox was faulty, and his warranty covered it. don't worry about getting an extra fan, and don't worry if you think your xbox has a problem. if there is something wrong with your xbox, the green light, that shows how many players are playing, on the actual console (around the 'x') will turn red, and flash. if you have any other questions just reply
No I LOVE XBOX
