Does the xbox 360 slim ever get the red ring of death?

The conditions of warranty are this:

Microsoft has worked countless months to find the problem to the red ring. They have drastically improved the chip to 45nm to reduce core heat. They have also added a huge fan on the side, to let heat out much quicker. I believe that they have removed the red LED's in the rings, but I have heard about the Red Dot of Death.
