In order to input the radio code into a MErcedes E320, the user must have the means to input into the main control box, located in the center of the dashboard. From here, one can locate the input panel.
The radio code can be found inside the car manual. Upon opening the first page, look on the left side. A gray card will indicate the required code.
the radio wil blink "code" enter the code and then push "ok" the radio should come back on unless you have attempted to enter the incorrect code too many times- in this case you will have to wait for the radio to reset itself (this can take anywhere from 10 min to 5 days.
Radio codes are Vin Specific and can only be given to you by a Mercedes Benz authorized dealership.
Enter the numbered code and press the "SC " button. If you need the code you can call a Mercedes dealer and give them your VIN number. If the radio is not original your out of luck. The dealer can only provide the code for original radios.
The radio will show the word code on the display with the c flashing...you use the preset numbers below the display to enter the code. The code has 5 digits and should be on the radio card supplied with the car. Should you not have the radio code, do not panic, dealers will provide that code free of charge and only need your vin to look it up. This is, of course, presuming the radio is factory original. After entering the code, press the tuner up or down button on the right side of the radio head as if to tune in a channel and your radio is now programmed!
Mine was given to me by the used car dealer and I wrote it in the Owners Manual. If you can't find it you may have to go to the dealer.
How do you reset Radio Code for 2000 E320? I just purchased the car and had to get new battery installed and know the radio doesn't operate until you reset with the code. Previous owner lost this card with code! Any direction would be great!ThanksRadio codeI called Mercedes Benz of Portland , Oregon and gave them my VIN # and in return they gave me the code! That easy. Entering the code:On my 1997 E320, I typed in the 5 digit code and then pressed the "SC" button (over by the Seek and Tune buttons) to activate the code. The Dealer told me to use the "OK" button, but my radio did not have one, I guess about the "SC" button and that was correct on my radio.
A radio code is a code to activate your radio.
Time for scheduled maintenance.
If your radio is locked and needs to be unlocked, it would require a security code versus a radio code.
It will have to reset automatically. You would first need to obtain the code for the restart process. Im guessing you dont have it. Call--1800-mercedes
