To give dayrl the orange grass, you first must collect it. it comes around in autunm. then you have to go to his house and place it in the green sqare in your rucksack. walk up to him when you see it in your hands and press A.

You can find Orange Grass in Spring and I think Summer around town. Pretty much anywhere butyour own farm. :3
