How do I go about getting into the gaming industry as a UI/UX designer when I studied graphic design and currently only have experience working for a marketing company?
Hi, I'm a graphic designer in the UK with just over a year experience in the marketing industry. I have always wanted to be a UI/UX designer for games, but have no idea how I would get hired for a role that I have no in-field experience for. I'm getting a bit anxious that the degree I took didn't actually teach me much of what I wanted to work on later down the line. I do online courses and create my own projects in the meantime but I just don't think this will ever be enough, as jobs always require experience. Has anyone at all got some advice in this field? All is appreciated :)
