This is Scratch, Lots of people know about it. You can't really make a full on Super Mario Quality game, but you can surely give game making a try.
Making a full RPG or Adventure game is a lot less easy cause you actually have to write code and all that stuff.

I'm a kid 2 and I'm making 3 in my own video game company.
Making Video Games can be complicated and confusing, but if ur willing 2 commit, the rest is easy. Just go to Yoyogames.com and download Gamemaker. If you get the free version you can make 2-D games w/ a couple limits, but remember, many 2-D games r professional. If u get the Pro version, you can make 3-D games too! It costs more money, though. To get ya started, sprites are any image besides a backround. A background is what anything walks or moves on, but it's just an image. Rooms r what makes everything happen as well as objects.
As 4 how long, it can take years to make video games BY YOUR SELF. I dnt do it, but some ppl group together and make what can actually be a company, no matter how old you are.
If it's an arcade game, it depends. It can take a year max to make it if it's many rooms long. If it's like Pac Man, it can take maybe a couple months. If it's as simple as one room clicking things, it would take a month or even a week.
you can buy game design packs and kits at the electronics department in Walmart.
Try a record tool, im using a pretty now - PCH and Screen Recorder.
it could record any activities on the screen and the audio whatever you hear, even the left and right mouse clicks and mouse highlights can be recorded to be displayed in your recordings.
i think it is the perfect assistant to create demo video. what's more, it could record any audio and keep synchronous with video.
hope it could help u.

Okay to start your going to need some programs that can design video games. I would suggest DAZ Studio 3 and Unity 3 to start. Both programs are free initially, but to get models or characters, you either have to buy them or make them. If you want to buy them, both companies sell their own models. If you want to make them, you'll need a modeling program, such as Hexagon, which is sold by DAZ for $150. Then once you have your characters and animations you can import them into unity and start designing your game. Make sure you knowvthe plot line of your game before you buy the characters so you don't buy anything you don't need. Also make sure everything you use in the game is uncopyrighted or is allowed to be redistributed with your game if you plan on selling the game.
