Using a 737 as the example plane. Line up with desired runway 5 nm out. Defend to 3000 feet Slow to 160 apply flaps to 20 as you slow . drop gear at 1 nm slow to and maintain 140 knots. Loot at the pappi lights left and right of threshold . they should be 2 white and 2 red. If they are all white your to high, if all red your to low decent rate is about 800 feet per minute. As you pass over the threshold you will be about 50 feet/60 feet above runway. Cut throttles to zero and float down as you come closet to wheels down lift the nose slightly to allow main wheeled beneath the wings to make contact. When down lower the more and commerce braking. Apply reverse thrust if required. Switch off reversed thrust at 70 knots. Slow with brakes by on almost stop. Exit runway to taxi. Stop to raise flaps and turn on taxi light, turn off landing light.

Press Shift + F10, the kneeboard will popup, go to "Checklists", then scroll down to "Before landing" and do what it says. Note: Every aircraft has different checklists. If you see red and white lights to the left of the runway you want to keep them at 2 red 2 white. Once your about to land flare up a little bit then you'll get a smooth landing. Remember don't hesitate while landing, that makes it harder.
