You can find the fuel rods all over the hotel and in the desert and then sell them in the shop next door which has an alien shopkeeper in it. You can also do stratch cards which helps you earn money. The customers will also give you bonuses depending on how well their room is kept. They will also give you tips when you calm them down, cheer them up, and restrain them.

You buy the toys for her/him to hold (not for the play mat) go home and then go back to the store. then sell the toys. go home and they should still be in the toy chest. you can sell them as many times as you like you just have to keep going home after they are all sold.

On Sims 3 ds you automaticlly start with 20k, by the time you get started you are left with maybe 5k.. I had this problem too. First I recommend getting your best friend on the game to move in so you get his/her pay as well, plus you have something to do when your sim is at work. You can always get rid of a room mate by not being in the same room and going on your phone and clicking there name and then evict. Another way is befriend your boss so since im in Law enforcement my boss is Alex Goth, so I made him my best friend and now I am getting premotions faster. Another way is increaseing your skills, when at your job if you have a green smile you get a higher chance of getting a better job which brings a lot of money. Another way is getting married you get all their funds aswell. For example Bambi when you marry her you might get 40k, I married her husband and i got 40k for a test, plus you get there job funds, which adds up to a lot which also increases lifetime happiness.
