The bolt-action rifle revolutionized modern warfare by significantly enhancing the accuracy and rate of fire compared to earlier firearms. Its design allowed soldiers to reload quickly and fire repeatedly without needing to manually load each bullet, increasing combat efficiency. This weapon became standard in many armies during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, facilitating more effective infantry tactics and leading to changes in battlefield strategies. As a result, the bolt-action rifle helped shape the nature of warfare, emphasizing marksmanship and range.

No.
I doubt anyone will change it due to liability concerns
Unless it's a calibre with the exact same rim measurements as the previous calibre, you'll have to at least change the bolt face. If you're switching from a calibre which uses a short action to a calibre requiring a long action, you'll have to change the bolt carrier, as well.
Best left to a gunsmith.
Bolt
The Garand rifle is a semiauto, not a bolt action. Do you have a Model 1903A3 bolt action? A Model 1917 bolt action?
A model 1904 is a single shot bolt action rifle.
It is a bolt action rifle.
Bolt action. A few are Fortner (straight pull) bolt actions.
