How do The Sims get married in sims life stories?

Well first you have to get your female and male sim's relationships high by interacting with them ( e.g Hug, Play, Kiss ) Once they are high ( 80- 90 ) get your male sim or your female sim ( I suggest the male ) and click on other sim you want to marry and click on propose... Then there should be an option Engagment click on that Then your sim will go and propose. If this fails try get a higher relationship then try again, if it succeeds then your 2 sims will be engaged once they are engaged and your ready click on the same sim you used to propose.. ( this is optional ) and click on the other sim and click on propose -> Marry. If you want a ceremony with lots of people, buy a wedding arch and place it in your backyard. ( I would suggest you place some seats as well ) then buy a wedding cake and place it on a table and put some seats around the table. Click on your phone and click on throw party-> Wedding party. Invite 3 people or less, once your guest(s) have arrived click on one of your sims then click on the wedding arch and Get married. Your soon-to-be Spouse will come over and so will all the guests. You will kiss and you can go eat the cake and enjoy the party and your spouse.

Tip: You can also do this with your sim and a sim walking along the street. Just invite them over alot and invite them over before you start the party.
