How do swim past spikes in dungeon on Zelda twilight princess?

you mean the first time you get turned into a wolf? well, somewhere around there is a chain type thing and you bite it and water will flow in from a yellowish door. warning: the little black things are harder to fight now cause they can ambush you while your swimming. just to tell you.

Ok so I'm guessing this is at the start of the game where Midna is helping you escape after being trapped there in your wolf form. in the sewers there are four chains to choose from but only one will activate the door that releases water to help you swim over the spikes. once you initially reach the sewers and head to the first junction and head west past the bars to another junction. Drop down and you should see a rather large pit of spikes blocking the way forward. Head as far west as you can and follow the stone path up to the very end and pull the chain. Now you can dog paddle over that pit of spikes you saw
