How do you activate a wii controller?

The first thing to do is open up the wii remote's battery case you should see a small red button now go to your wii and look near the disc slot for a little opening if you open it you should see another red button press both and wait a few minutes your wii remote will sync with your wii and now you should be able to use it test it out by pointing at the screen.

There is a little panel on your wii console. Open it up and there is a red button. If you take of the back of the wii remote there is also a red button. Press them at the same time and your wii remote is connected forever and always.

If your Wii remote's batteries are working then it should turn on when you press the A Button (or any other button). (Assuming your console is on, it's synced with the remote and you don't already have 4 remotes connected. The remote you get with the console should already be synced.)

In the top left corner there is a power button. Turn off your Wii and press the power button on your Wii remote. If that doesn't work make sure you have working batteries in the Wii remote.
