How do you add a second player to Super Smash Bros. brawl?

in group(brawl), move the hand over where it says none and select,you will add a cpu

in subspace,events,tournys,or any other just connect it and click start on the controller you wish to add

Beat the Target Practice with all the original characters and the Board The Platforms Practice with all the original characters Luigi will appear defeat him to unlock him, Beat Single player mode with no time on and on very easy with any character when you finish Jigglypuff will appear defeat it to unlock it, Beat Single player mode with time on and on very easy with any character beat the game in a fast time Captain Falcon will show up defeat him to unlock him, Beat Single player mode with any character on normal mode with 3 stock you can put time on or off it doesn't matter when you finish Ness will appear defeat him to unlock him.

Well... sorry but you cant but you can do tournament mode which allows you to take turns.
