How do you add houses to your town on sims 3?

in the same town lick a emty lot and it said buy or built on lot do. click buy lot and than do the same thing again on the same lot but this time click build on lot you can make houses or make it a pool etc. hoped it helped:)

well... you play the people who's house you want, then click the phone and hit move then put them in a random place. then you pick your people and move them in, ta da

To do this you click download on the sim you wan't to download, And then after Downloading the sim go to downloads on the launcher and then go to your Downloaded sim's icon Click the icon and then click install, And your sim should be Fully downloaded to your game

Have you installed it to your game from The Sims 3 game launcher?

If NO then go to downloads on the Sims 3 game launcher and find your item on the list and then check the box next to it and click install. Then follow the YES step below.

If you do not see the item in the list then you must need a game update, go back to your item on the exchange and check the requirement's.

If YES go to edit town mode and view your lots in the library then click place and place it on an empty lot.

once you download it, it gets saved into your console. just use a phone or computer and select "move" then choose the lot this saved house was meant for. when you move there it will be the basic preset home. go to "town map" and select your house. press "replace" and you will have options for the replacement. then just choose your saved house(usually on the far left). you still have to pay for everything in the house.
