How do you beat Pokemon Elite Four?

Beating the Elite 4 can vary depending on the game you have however some good ideas to use are as follows: Make sure your Pokemon are at high levels using either the same or higher than the Elite 4's Pokemon, make sure you use a Pokemon with a type advantage against an Elite 4 trainer such as for example you can use Fire-types against Ice, Grass and Steel-type trainers and you can use Electric-types against Water-type and Flying-type trainers, make sure to opt to use the correct move in the proper situation so don't use your best one if your opponent only has 1 HP left unless you're certain the trainer is going to use a restorative item, make sure to stock up on items especially Revives, Full Restores and various types of Potions such as Max Potions for example and make sure you have a lot of money since you may not beat the Elite 4 on the first go-around so you may need to buy more items than you did the first time.

Also you can save before battling each trainer so that if you lose due to a mistake you made during the battle then you can just turn off the game and turn it back on and re-challenge the trainer to try it again.

Other opinions are to have a tough team that features Water, Fire and Electric-type attacks.

For the first Elite Trainer use attacks such as either Fighting, Fire, Ice or Electric-types, for the 2nd Elite Trainer use Fire, Ice or Electric-type attacks, for the 3rd Elite Trainer use Fighting-type attacks and for the 4th Elite Trainer you can use Dragon or Ice attacks and for the Champion you can use Electric and Water attacks, Water-type attacks can be used to beat Rock and Ground-types.

One suggested team for beating the Elite 4 is with Lucario, Torterra, Dialga and Honchkrow.

A suggested team for beating the Elite 4 in LeafGreen is:

Level 100 Venusaur - Solar Beam, Sunny Day, Earthquake and Frenzy Plant.

Level 62 Magcargo - Rock Slide, Fire Blast, Hyper Beam and Flamethrower

Level 87 Mewtwo - Swift, Recover, Skill Swap and Psychic

Level 94 Blastoise - Waterfall, Surf, Hydro Cannon and Hydro Pump.

Level 63 Raikou - Thundershock, Thunder, Thunderbolt and Strength.

Level 77 Articuno - Steel Wing, Ice Beam, Fly and Blizzard.

well i was told typically that people suggest that pokemons lvl 50-60 was good to beat the elite four. But I'll show you how I beat the Elite 4.

My lineup consisted of:

Kadabra (lvl 49), Nidoqueen (lvl 47), Blastoise (Lvl 56), Magmar (lvl 47),

Victreebel (lvl 46), Pidgeot (lvl 47).

MAKE SURE TO BUY A LOT OF REVIVES AND FULL RESTORES.

One key thing is that I taught my kadabra an TM move, Shock wave, electric attack.

First elite, Lorelei, I used Kadabra mainly then finished the last few with magmar. Magmar is super effective against some ice pokemons, like Jynx, but very weak against dewgong.

Second elite, Bruno, I found the easiest. I used my blastoise and used surf basically on all of his pokemons, and they KO'd many times. But for hitmonchan and hitmonlee, I used Kadabra's psychic which KO'd them too.

Third Elite, Agatha, I had the most trouble with. I made sure to give kadabra to hold Quick claw, which usually lets him attack first. Attacking first I think is crucial because Gengar (agatha's) tries to put your Pokemon to sleep. With the move "psychic", I KO'd Gengar (54), and Golbat (54). For arbok, i used my Nidoqueen, and it got rid of Arbok pretty quickly. Then, for the next gengar (58), it took me a few revives but I used kadabra's psychic to get rid of it after many minutes... then haunter i used kadabra's psychic to get rid of him easily.

Last Elite, Bruno, was all the dragons. I started with Kadabra, and used shock wave to get rid of all but the last Pokemon, which was dragonite. This took me a few revives again, but I was able to finish with Magmar after using Kadabra and Blastoise to get rid of most of its Hp.

So basically, I think the MVP (most valuable Pokemon lol) for each elite was:

Lorelei- Kadabra (electric attack)

Bruno- Blastoise (water)

Agatha- Kadabra (psychic) *Do not use normal type pokemons, such as nidoqueen, for they can't do any damage against ghost pokemons such as Gengar.

Lance- (basically all..)

For your Rival,

Since I chose squirtle, his lineup was

Pidgeot, Rhydon, Venusaur, Arcanine, Gyrados, and Alakazam.

I used Kadabra(electric) for pidgeot, Blastoise (water) for Rhydon, Magmar(Fire) for venusaur, Blastoise (water) for Arcanine, Kadabra (electric) for Gyrados, and Victreebel/Pidgeot/Magmar for Alakazam to wrap things up.

I think Mvp goes to Kadabra (phychic pokemons are really valuable for this!)

But good effort, and thanks to lots of revives and full restores :D

So your pokemons don't really have to be lvl 55+ for everyone

• The first of the Elite four is Sidney. He specializes in dark Pokémon.

He has an Absol, a Mightyena, a Shiftry, a Sharpedo, and a Cacturne.If you had the slightest thought of strengthening a Dustox or Beautifly, then Sidney's downfall is your reward. But his Shiftry knows the Psychic move Extrasensory, so beware! Practically, any strong attack can crush Mightyena. Fighting or Bug Type will do well against all of the Dark Types. Blaziken and Swampert are fine choices too, but remember that Swampert is severely weak against Grass Pokémon. Also, if playing Ruby, the legendary Groudon is a good choice. Its fire moves will work well against Cacturne and Shiftry and its Grass move Solarbeamcan knock out Sharpedo. Absol is left. Fine, use a gentle Fire attack on it first and then a strong Fighting attack like Double Kick.

• After Sidney comes Phoebe, a user of Ghost Pokémon.

She has a Sableye, two Dusclops, and two Banettes. Dusclops knows Ice Ball, so keep Rayquaza far away from it. Earthquakeattack works well on this team. Ghost or Dark Types that you have will also score wins. Rather, power is all that's needed here. Type advantages are not a must for beating Phoebe.

• Next up is Glacia, with Ice Pokémon, though she brings Water-Ice too.

She has two Glalies, two Sealeo, and a Walrein. Make sure you have a strong Kyogre, because Walrein can use Sheer cold! The best you can do is bring some good Electric Types. Preserve your Fire Types for thawing Glalie. If you have Groudon or a Grass Pokémon, then attacks like Solar Beam will ensure victory. You should not lose time however, because Ice ruins Grass and Ground. Later when you get a Rayquaza, teach it an electric attack and teach Glacia a lesson; but again, don't give any foe a chance to attack as Ice type moves will devastate Rayquaza. Drake, the strongest of the Elite Four

• Drake, the Dragon Master, is the final of the four.

He has an Altaria, Shelgon, two Flygon, and a Salamence! If you have a good Ice Type like Walrein, Regice or Kyogre, it will beat this crew! Finish Drake as fast as possible as dragons are nightmarish! Or pit Dragons against Dragons. Steven, your final challenge in the Pokémon league.

• The champion, Steven Stone, has mostly Steel Type and Rock Type Pokémon.

Beware the Skarmory, Aggron, Claydol, Cradily, Armaldo and Metagross! Get Fire Pokémon and prepare for a meltdown! Face Skarmory with Fire, Electric or Ice Pokémon(Ice won't win very quickly). Aggron can be dangerous, so the Ground attack Earthquake or the water attack Surf are the best. Wash the next three with Water Pokémon. Hydro Pump is a crucial attack here. But other Water attacks are weak on Cradily, so Steel or Fighting attacks can be used too. Fire and Water attacks, both work well on Metagross. Fire is better. Summing up, the legendary stars Kyogre and Groudon are useful allies in the final battle. Once you beat Steven, you are the Champion in all of Hoenn. Your party Pokémon will enter the hall of Fame and will get a ribbon each. The end credits start rolling in but the game can be continued by restarting the Game Boy. You can savour your victories in various ways: win the contests and catch the three Regi's if you didn't do that before. Go ahead on the quest to complete your Pokédex. You can now visit the enjoyable Sky Pillar and Battle Tower. The Elite Four are the last bosses. After defeating them, you face the champion. All you need to do is either raise your current team to around Lv. 50, or find those types of pokemon that are best against them. Since they use Psychic, Ghost, Dark and Fighting types, go for Dark for Psychic and Ghost, Fighting for Dark, Psychic for Fighting and Steel types, just because, apart from Fighting, the Elite Four pokemon don't do much damage, so I recommend Scrafty, Musharna, Ferrothorn and any other back up pokemon.
