How do you beat the dragon at dragon's peak on final fantasy 3?

Okay here is a method you can do o the Dragon at Dragon's Peak o FF3DS(or NES) Okay first get all your characters to switch to Monk's. Reason: their damage doesn't matter on Weapons but their job level. So by doing this you can get them to do a ton of damage easily in the beginning of the game. What you do is go into battle and do defend 6 times and then attack with each one or defend again. Doing 7 commands in battle should level up their job class. When all of their job classes hit 99, you can try to beat the dragon Also you can try to level up your characters since Monk's gain pretty decent HP when they level, and you need to be able to live long enough to deal enough damage to defeat Bahamut -=this method has not been tested by me but you can hit high enough damage that you probably could take him out=-

Have someone be a black mage, another a white mage, a ranger with killer bow and light arrows, and the last doesn't matter. Get Blizaga in the Cave of tides. Have the white mage focus on the black one. It didn't work for me at first ,but did eventually.

You can use fire-based weapons, because him and most of the enemies he summons are weak to it. Matt's Sol Spear, Natalie's Flameheart, and Lance's Red Vulcan are good weapons.

Wear clothing that protects you from ice-based attacks, because that's usually what he and his backup uses. Natalie's Viking Dress, the Fuzzy Hat, and the the Viking Fur are good choices.

Another good trick is to poison him early on. Get the poison up to 9 quickly, and he'll take a lot of damage each turn.

You can't beat it in a fight. Skirt around the lake it lives in until you find another place to enter. In there is an item to pacify it and stop it attacking when you try sailing.
