How do you beat the level on super Mario 64 ds switch star of the fortres?

I think you mean "star of the fortress" on the 2nd course, "Whomps fortress". Well, you need to have either unlocked Mario, or find a Mario cap in that course. The Mario cap make you look like Mario and you can do anything Mario can do. Now, theres a brick somewherein the course. How to find it: First, go around the edge of the course dodging enimies and jumping over gaps. You will find a box with those bullets shooting out of it. Jump over it and jump over the gap in front of you. Theres a brick on that peice of land after the gap. Bust it if youre Mario. Then hit the star switch. Now be quick; run all around the edge until you find the star. Jump up and the glass or whatever it is will break and you will get the star.

I do know how, here's what do to!: All you have to do is be WARIO. Next, go to the bottom of the mountain, where the END of the penguin racing slide is. Next, WITH WARIO, go to the frozen pond. WITH WARIO, Jump, and then press press 'Right', so inj other words, Hit and hold down 'B'. then press 'R'. He will do a bumdrop and break the ice. After the ice is broken, you can be ANY character, with any cap, you just need Wario the break it first. next, go to the left, where the little wooden cart thing is, the one that takes you up the mountain where you stand on it. Go stand on it, when it starts to go, look right, you will see a little island with a bob-omb BUDDY ( a pink bomb ), a tree, and a STAR SWITCH. Jump on the lift, and on to the island. Press the star switch, and turn to face the pond ( still on the island ). Do a LONGJUMP ( hold down 'R' and press 'B' )and the wind should carry you right in front of the pond. You have to be quick or the star will go away. If you are not faster enough, and it disappears, just do this over again.
