you need to be attacked by a vampire, the easiest way to get infected is to do the main quest and when they get you to go to azuras shrine she gives you a mission to kill 5 of her followers that were bitten while killing a vampire. Each time that they attack you theres a small chance that you'll contract the disease polymorphic hemophelia, once you have that disease dont treat it for 3 days and go to sleep, you have nightmares and wake up a vampire

But what if you have been bitten by a vampire in the darkbrotherhood (Vicente Valtieri or as i call him vinny) and you have waited 3 days and then slept and nothing happend what should u do? its happening to me and im getting furstrated >:(

sometimes you can sleep in vampire infected forts and caves if you have merrunes razor expansion pack go into merrunes razor near the end and sleep, and while you sleep you will be bitten.

There is also a quest that the dark brotherhood gives you and once you complete it you'll be given the option to become a vampire.

i will tell you how but FIRST i will tell you what you are getting yourself into. i will tell you the good things and the bad things about being a vampire. Good things: # the longer you go without blood, the stronger you will become. # you get cool spells the longer you go without blood. Bad things: # your guy becomes really bony and ugly. # people get frightened and wont talk to you if you go without blood too long. # you need blood VERY often # if you go without blood, you lose life when you go in the sun. # everything becomes very bright and there is a glare on EVERYTHING # the extra strength only helps you do more damage if you attack by fist or with a close range weapon not with bows and spells. # if you have the disease and you decide you don't want it anymore, you need to so out in the middle of nowhere to this old lady to cure it. # if you get stuck out in the sunlight, and you are far from shelter, the sun will kill you either quickly or slowly. depending on how long you have gone without blood. # if you are caught wile feeding, people will attack you. # you cannot fast travel during the day and cant wait outside. If you still want "the dark gift" all you need to do is join the dark brotherhood. to do this, all you need to do is kill someone then sleep in a bed somewhere. the bed in jail doesn't count. you need to do do some quests for the dark brotherhood and eventually the vampire there will offer you "the dark gift". he will tell you what to do from there. you can also get it by falling asleep in a bed anywhere and there is a slight chance you will wake up with it. i also heard you can get it by simply fighting a vampire.

To become a vampire you can do two things.

1st you can complete the dark brotherhood quests and then you have a choice of becoming a vampire.

2nd you can find a cave with vampires and let them hit you until you contract their disease.

i do not recommend beaming a vampire as people dislike you more and as you sleep, the effects get worse until its completely drains your entire health when out in sunlight. having said that, being a vampire does fortify all of your skills.

To become a Vampire there are 2 ways of doing this.

The first way is to find a Vampire and let it hit you until it says you have contracted Vampirism and then wait 4 days (Skyrim days) and then you are fully a vampire.

Secondly, you can purchase the Skyrim Add-On Dawnguard and when you find Serana (The Vampire Clans, Leaders Daughter) who was hidden by her Mother with an Elder Scroll so her dad couldn't complete the proficy, when you return her home her father will give you a chance to become a Vampire Lord, If you accept you become a Vampire and Join His clan against the Dawnguard and if you decline you join the dawnguard and have a chance later in the questline to join the Vampires Again.

When in combat against vampires, you have a chance of contracted vampirism every time they land a hit on you. if you contract the disease, it can be cured with any regular disease potion - unless you wait three days. After three days, the disease becomes permanent, and you gain the powers of a vampire.
