How do you change the language on the Nintendo DS handheld?

you have to go into settings.

on dsi it will have a wrench pic click that

on ds lite it will have a picture of a ds at the very bottom of the screen at the start, click it and then click the wrench and then click into the globe (circle thing) and choose your language

On the main menu of the Nintendo DS, on the bottom in the middle there is an icon showing a miniature Nintendo DS. Select this, and you are greeted with 4 color tiles. Select the tile farthest to the right, with the image of a person, and you are greeted with 3 more tiles. Select the one with the speech bubble, and it will allow you to change your language.

You really CANNOT change it. The answer is easily deductible if you look at the question: Why would Japanese people need an English language option? On other sites all people say that this is inpossible. I'm sorry :(
