The best way is with a slightly damp rag to clean the outside of the system, and a Q-tip lightly moistened with alcohol to clean the inside. DO NOT use a lot of alcohol and be sure to have a dry Q-tip handy to dry the excess moisture.

The best way I have found is to take a Q-tip and lightly dip it in rubbing alcohol. Have a second dry Q-tip ready to dry any excess liquid inside the cartridge. Holding the game right side up rub the damp Q-tip over the connectors ( the gold strips on the part of the cartridge that goes into the console ). Use a quick side to side motion for this. When the connectors appear shiny use the dry Q-tip to make sure that no alcohol is left in the cartridge. The properties of the alcohol should kill and break up the mold.

you clean it with a cloth with little or no water (none on the inside and around the bottons) and you can blow into the inside where you put the game to get a lot of the dust out
