Go left and up to find the Sherpa guide. As you go up the trail, you have to tie off the rope to each new ring you find, and then wait for the guide to catch up.
Once you reach the monastery at the mountain top, you can come down using the rope bridge at the right, and return the same way on any future visit. (The only things to get are the lantern and the footprint photo.)
The Sherpa is on the trail at the upper left. Climb up and go left to meet him. As you climb, click the rings to tie on until he joins you.
There is the rope along the right side that you came down the first time. Climb up it.

You can only climb with the guide once. After that, you can reach the monastery, and the path above it, by climbing the rope at the right side above the helicopter. (There is nothing up there except the lantern and the footprint.)

Before you go to the Himalayas, get the digital camera by helping the driver at Loch Ness. You will need to climb the mountain to see the head monk at the monastery, who reportedly has a Yeti scalp. But unfortunately, he won't give it to you. He does give you a camping lantern. If you climb up to the top of the mountain above the monastery, you will find a footprint to photograph. These two items are all you can get from the Himalayas, so you will have to prove the other three cryptids.
At the monastery in the Himalayas. When you have received the lantern from the head monk, go outside and climb farther up the mountain. One of the monks will challenge you to beat the game.
