I am not too sure where you can buy the equipment to do so but you will need the following: 1x - USB connector for your MacBook Pro that connects to composite video 1x - Composite video connector adapter (composite - composite) 1x - Composite cable to connect the game console to your MacBook Pro Your own screen capture program. You should be able to connect your game console to your MacBook Pro using a simple setup utilizing the materials listed above. It will simply be a matter of finding the right program to record/capture your gaming. Hope that helped somewhat.
It is possible for a Macbook to get damaged when it overheats. The hard drive is the most affected by overheating in Macbooks, but other hardware can be affected by overheating.
I would e-mail Nintendo right away! www.nintendo.com
It will short out. (Trust me it has happened to me.)

You can't, it happens automatically

You get a Pokemon entry in your pokedex.
Nothing happens.
