How do you defeat Shield Dragons in Final Fantasy 5?

Honestly it's best to flee from them. However if you want to destroy one for its Bestiary entry, try the following;

1 - It has auto reflect, but you can 'bounce' spells off your own characters if they themselves have a Reflect Ring. Inflict Berserk on the Shield Dragon, and it will no longer be able to use 'Knock Silly'.

2 - Use the Beastmaster job and !Control to take control of it, and force it to use its own 'Blaze' ability on itself (attacking a controlled creature will break the control, but making it attack itself will not).
