How do you defeat diablo on diablo 2?

lol you beat it by killin diablo in act 4 no, on the left side of the pentagram - the star - is a little bit of wall sticking out. if you can get diablo on one side you can use magic or arrows or any long range weopon to hit him through the wall. and the best part is hes too stupid to do anything about it . just dont hire anyone or hell chase him out of the corner and kill you.be shure to have plenty of rejuvination potions just in case.one more thing easiest to kill diablo with amazon because of her magic arrows and spears . hope this helps.

Amazon: hit and run barbarian: fight head on, run when he uses lightning inferno
Sorceress: hit and run
Necromancer: summon minions, try tro keep him distracted while minions kill him (or use your bone skills)
Paladin: blessed hammer, or whatever your main skill is, same as barbarian.
Druid: summon beasts, employ barbabian and sorceress' strategy
assassin: traps, keep running.

Keep summoning GFs against him repeatedly. Most of his attacks are gravity-based and are actually unable to kill you as they take a %age of your hitpoints. By constantly summoning GFs, when Diablos does use a physical attack, it is the GF who takes the damage rather than your character's hitpoints.

He is also a very challenging battle if you fight him at the point you get him, you might be better off waiting until you have some better equipment and magic.

Junction some good magic to each character's magic. Then Draw-Cast Demi from Diablos. This does a lot of damage (far more than you can normally). Keep doing this until it's not as effective (about 2000 dmg per hit). Then spam GFs
