You do not delete the account it belongs to the Playstation Network and you can not remove it from your PS3. Not only that but there is a total limit on the number of accounts the PS3 can ever have and once reached no new accounts can be added. It's either 50 or 100 I'm not sure. Until you reached the limit you can only add new accounts they can not be deleted, but you no longer have to sign them in if you chose not to.
