a727
Chrysler a727
if it i an automatic it has either an a727 or an a904.
36rh same as a727
A Dynasty would have an a413 or an a604.
Should be an A727 tranny. I have an 1989 Dodge D100 3.9 v6 and the transmission in it is an 904 a lighter version of the 727.
A 1968 Plymouth Fury II does not have a Transmission Modulator as such. The throttle linkage on the A904 a A727 transmissions performs a similar function to a ( Vacuum ) Modulator .
It depends on which engine you have, Slant 6's and 318 & 360 can have A904 or A727 for the automatics and all the big block 440''s use the 727
The automatic trans is a 3 speed. The manual is a 5auto a727 3speed.manual 4speed a833 or 4speed a435. no 5 speeds until 1989.
I am having the same problem with my transmission. What holes are you talking about and where are they located? Mine leaks all the time, I have tried new gaskets and sealants but it still leaks. It runs great, but I have to keep the oil topped off every couple of weeks. I think it is a A727 tranny. Very tough.
As time has advanced electric transmission's in general have become more effecient, but lighter. 86 is far back enough that the transmission should still be pretty heavy. 86 dodge a727 trans is not electric it is all hyd.ther very good heavy duty trans 3speed . the trans that had problems electric 4 speed auto 97 to 05.
No, you need a big block case. The 273, 318, 340 and 360 use the same bell housing, 350, 361, 383, 426, 400 and 440 use a different bell housing. Find more information about this in the HP Torqueflite A727 Transmission Handbook; available at www.tsr-racing.com
