To fix your fountain on Virual Familes, you have to go to the store. Soone enough, you'll see a Fountain Pump under "Varied Items." Buy it. After you have it in your inventory, click on it then click on your fountain. Once you see the Fountain Pump sitting there, put two people on the fountain and they'll fix it. It's too heavy for one person, so make sure you drag over 2 of your characters.

Eventually some waterproof tape will appear at the store. Buy that and put it on the leaky hose. Then put some one in the shower to lower the water pressure. Put some one else on the hose and they will fix it.
Just drag one of the adults on the router
You can put them in the corner of the sand box then they will fix the shed after that put them on the welcome mat then they will unlock the shed and now you can water the flowers and put out a smoking oven.

If your person has a job that requires them to make something, then their career would be in their. Or you can use the workroom to fix the sinks. :)
You have to buy the wall compound from the store (and you need to fix the hoses for water.) Then you drop your person on it and they will work on it. But don't let them stop or the wall compound will dry and you will have to buy a new one. :)
To fix a leak in Virtual Familes, first you must take someone 16 or older and drag them into the workshop. There, they will grab a wrench and fix the leak. Or, if you don't want to go to all that trouble, just exit back to the iPod menu and go back and the leak/fire will be gone.
