well,in Sims 3 ds you can click on mostly any building, like the retaurant there,for example, and these choices appear. One of them could say Apply for job. Also, you can go on your computer,the computer in the game, and click Get a job, However, some buildings in the city don't have job offers. That's why i request using a desktop in your sim home. It can find you lots of jobs that you'd not be able to get with just searching buildings.
