It depends on the software you use for your server, without that information, we can't answer this.
However if you use Fcraft:
1) Load a new world.
2) Type /gen flat grass
3) Type /ok
Warning: Typing this command on an existing world will replace that world for the flat grass world. Requires a high-up admin rank.
first download winrar (you can look up how to do that on YouTube) then download the map you want open it and then goto to start and run %appdata% click enter. click on .minecraft then click on the folder called saves drag the map files in to the saves folder make sure it does not converge with any other folders close everything run minecraft and open the world up and enjoy. (if it did not work then just look it up on youtube).
Making a map in Minecraft is easy! I'll show you how. If you are on creative, press "E" to open your inventory.
