How do you get a pet dog in Minecraft the game?

easy all you have to do is simply go Into the Woods with some bones and find a pack of wolves then give the wolf as many bones as i wants when it sits down a it is tame and it will follow you and if you don't want it to follow you then right click to make it sit and right click a nother time to make him/her follow you!!!

For wolves, you need to have a few bones (unless you are in creative mode, I think) then hit use the bone on it.

For ocelot, have a raw fish (can not be cooked, may need more than one) stay around a ocelot and just stand there and wait for it to sit down for a while then feed them the fish. c:

You can push one into your house or build a "sheep factory" or whatever you want to name it around the sheep and capture it.
