How do you get a smergale on emerald?

you have to beat the elite 4 and then on the battle frontier island you will see a cave, then go near the battle frontier palace and you will see an old lady and she will say"i see a wierd tree at the end of the garden" and go to the "wierd tree" and water it with the wailmer pail and a sudowoodo will attack you. beat it or catch it whatever you want to do with it and surf down the waterfall behind it and follow towards the cave. go in the cave and walk around and there should be smeargle jumping at you from every angle in the level 40's.

At the battle frontier go to the south eastern corner and surf down. Go down the water fall then turn left, there is a cave entrance in the cave you will find smeargle.
