you need to give the people items that they like and if you give them their altimate fav item their hearts will go up quickier than any other items

if a wild animal you have to catch it first an dwhen you pick it up it will have love hearts come out

if it is a farm animal you will need to milk,sheer and brush the animals but if it is a chicken you can only pick it up if a horse you can ride it round town but you have to have the the horses hearts up to 2.

To get hearts from wildlife animals you can pick them up or feed them food they eat(you have a book of what these animals eat in your bookshelf-in the game of course).

To get hearts from your domestic animals(excluding chickens) you can:

-groom them with the brush

-Press A on them(basically say hi to them)

-Feed them

To get hearts from chickens you could:

-pick them up

-feed them bird feed

To get hearts from people you just give them gifts, like flowers or forrage you find like honey etc. Or you could give them some of your own crops
