To make one, you must first sign up for maplestory on their website ( http://maplestory.nexon.net/Intro/ ) Then, if you already have the game downloaded, simply go to it and type in the username and password you previously created and it and voila.

You can't get avatars on maplestory, but you can use bannedstory (see www.maplesim.com) to create a maplestory avatar.
