You must have got rid of the disease in Coffinwell(town) and help the Mayor's dead daughter go in to heaven... Then you go to the obveritory and pray to the tree, after the odd dream you must go to an Island; there you'll find the Alltrades abbey this is where you change your vocation...

After that...

To change it you then must talk to the monk-guy who told you, you couldn't change it ... After that go down to the lower floor talk to a few people in the bar area then go back to him.. He'll teach you 'bow'.

And so ...

You must go to the tower to the east, bow (to enter) and reach the top, then fight the boss, beat him then go back and talk to Jack the abbot... Then talk again, say 'yes' and pick another Vocation (LV1 in the vocation you pick, all stuff you have got STAYS so don't worry).

Gladiator and Sage are easily the best for near to end game-play, versus the Legacy Bosses. The Gladiator has the highest strength, the Sage provides healing. Although, the Priest is actually superior for very high level Legacy bosses, the Sage simply can't heal enough to stay useful.

There is no single best vocation because they all have different strengths and weaknesses. I recommend you have at least one adept at healing (priest or sage), one adept at defending (warrior or paladin) and one adept at attacking (warrior, martial artist, mage, paladin, gladiator or sage).

you have to do quests and then you'll unlock that vocation, however to use the vocation I suggest you make a new character then go to alltrades abbey because, you can't just make a new character with that new vocation.

Here is a list of where to find each new vocations quest.

1. Gladiator- there is a man down the stairs at the alltrades abbey that will give you a quest where you must defeat three slimes at 100 tension using the dragon slash ability.

2. Paladin- go to the top of the castle in Gleeba and there will be a small fountain, behind the fountain there is a woman, talk to her she will give you the quest to become a paladin, you must go into the desert and use the whipping boy ability 10 times.

3. Armamentalist- at alltrades abbey there will be a guy that kind of looks like a pirate talk to him and then he will tell you to defeat two metal slimes after using the wizard ward spell, or maybe it's an ability, I don't remember but the person who uses the wizard ward must be the one to kill metal slime, metal slimes can be found in the place where you defeat the ragin' contagion, but beware they are really hard to find.

4. Ranger- Go to the bottom of the heights of loneliness, which is the place where that you have to go to get to zere rocks. There is lady talk to her, she'll ask you to use the toxic dagger ability to envenomate three hocus chimearas (which are in the heights of loneliness), but the poison has to kill them.

5. Sage- Go to Gittingham Palace and go to the right then walk to the end of the hall walk through the door, after that walk up the stairs and talk to the bookshelf, after you open a book you find out it's actually a sage that was cursed into being a book for life, he'll tell you to kill five great trolls using the spell frizz.

6. Luminary- Go to the dancing club in Gleeba (after you beat the game) and by the backstage there will be a lady in a weird outfit, talk to her then you'll she tell you to beat 3 moai minstrels with hot lick (moai minstrels can be found in grottos)

Each new vocation requires either a specific vocation or weapon.

'Guardian' is the vocation you started the game with, before you lose your wings and become a Minstrel. You cannot regain this vocation without cheating, and it will make the game crash if you try to view the skill point allocation screen.

Most vocations have prerequisites - for example, mastering both the Mage and the Priest vocation allows the character to start on the Sage vocation. Mastering the Warrior and Martial Artist vocations unlocks the Gladiator vocation, etc.
