You can obtain infinite rare candies without a gameshark if you make a party of all Pokemon with Pickup (i.e., six Zigzagoons) and wander around getting into fights. A couple hours of that and you'll be drowning in Rare Candies, plus you'll have a ton of other items you can sell for money.
