How do you get medals on brothers in arms 2?

There is no absoulute way to earn medals but I got like 16 medal already for doing things like making 200 kills with an asault rifle in total or not losing a tank in a game. So you never really know when you get a medal. Oh, and here's a tip for gettting an easy metal. On the first level, when you have the assault rifle at the start, hold R2 when the tanks come and selecy the vehicle bomb and put it on the two tanks and play the level over and do that 3 times and you'll get a medal for 5 tanks with a vehicle bomb or something like that.
