How do you get out of the hand on virus hunter island?

You cant exit the hand I tried and it didn't work so what do I do. probably have to make a whole new character and do the whole entire thing over again. the game is pointless and ridiculous. I say don't paly it's is stupid and so confusing

There was no way designed to leave the internal mission, another severe error by the Poptropica designers. There is, however, a way to escape by using Home and the Poptropica Store (where you can select items from another island). Use the Haunted House card (Store Items) to go to the island map. When you return to Virus Hunter, you will be in the bloodstream again.

You do leave the ship briefly when you first lose your devices. Go up the throat and you will ride burp bubbles to the mouth to retrieve your shield (at the gold tooth)

Normally you go the lungs last, and get sneezed out when you beat the final boss.

-- If you go to lungs from the heart before you have the gravity core, you won't be able to move about (to reach the throat, for example). Try to back out to the heart by finding the "door" that you came through, near the bottom of the right lung (your right).

-- If for some reason you don't get sneezed out at the end of the game, travel up to the throat to exit.

You can use the exit to the heart (lower right) if you want to go back into the body, but you have to do it before Joe sneezes.
