How do you get past the second level of the fortress on Red Dragon Island?

Use your ninja powers, selecting the icons at the bottom left of the window.

For the first two levels, pick up the haiku scroll and find the key that opens the exit door. On the third level, you will need all three haiku scrolls in order to use the password.

For the second level, the key is at bottom left, and the haiku is by the rope near the end.

Step by Step (level 2 of 3)

Use a star to put out the light, then jump across and throw one at the other light.

Use a smoke bomb on the guard and jump down the hole.

Put out the round light and jump to just above the guard.

Use the smoke bomb on him and slip past. Drop to the floor.

You cannot hit the light with the star, so use the smoke on the bottom guard.

Drop through the hole and down two levels.

Use the grapple on the ring to swing left over the dart wall to reach the key.

Go right, use smoke on the guard and continue right.

Climb up one level to the rope and get the haiku. Go up the rope.

Use smoke on the guard while on the rope.

Climb up past him, to the left and then right across the top to the exit.

Use your ninja powers to climb, jump, swing, and vault through the rooms.

First, use the eye symbol to view the entire room and the path you will take.

Throw the stars to put out the paper lanterns, then toss the smoke bombs to disable the guards. The stars will also cut the ropes that hold up stone bridges and dangling weights. When darts are thrown at you, select the bo staff and press the spacebar to spin it, which will block the darts. Once the darts stop, you can vault over high walls by pressing the spacebar while running with the bo staff. If you see a shiny ring, you can automatically swing across the opening with your grapple line.

Step by Step (all 3 levels):

*Section 1 of 3:

Go right, cut the rope on the green blocking stone.

Climb up, across, and down, and use smoke on the guard before swinging across from the gold ring (or just leap across).

Pick up the Haiku, then use the bo staff to vault to the top of the spike wall.

Drop into the hole, then climb to get the key.

Go right and use the smoke on the guard, and jump to the short platform.

Move close to the end and throw a star to cut the rope on the large wooden weight.

Jump over to the top of the weight, then grapple or jump across to the right wall.

Go up the wall and exit the level.

*Section 2 of 3:

Use a star to put out the light, then jump across and throw one at the other light.

Use a smoke bomb on the guard and jump down the hole.

Put out the round light and jump to just above the guard.

Use the smoke bomb on him and slip past. Drop to the floor.

Go right. Grapple across using the gold ring.

Use the star to cut loose the green block, continue right and cut loose the next block.

Use smoke on the guard and go to the wall on the right.

Climb down until you can jump across to the key.

Continue down until you are near the large hanging wooden weight.

Quickly cut its rope before you slip from the wall.

Jump across left, then atop the weight, then jump across left to the smaller weight.

(It is difficult to hit the guard with smoke.)

Drop down and pick up the haiku.

Go back up, and across to the left.

At the hole, look down to see the guard hiding behind the screens.

Use smoke on him and cross to the left. Cut down the green block with a star.

Go left, select the bo staff, and spin it (spacebar) to block the darts.

Climb the right side and drop next to the three screens.

Go the 2nd (middle) screen. Spin the bo staff to block the barrage of darts.

Quickly run right and vault to the top of the dart wall. (Jump about two steps past the 3rd screen.)

Use the eye to see the green block up and right of you, and toss a star to cut its rope.

Use the grapple on the ring to swing right. (You could also throw a star while swinging across.)

Click on the door to use the key and the password.
