The L-2 Noble Sword is found in the Lost Woods by taking the correct path. The first way to do this is to go through a long trading sequence quest to eventually get the Phonograph item, which you then play for the music-loving Deku Scrub, who will give you the directions to the sword. The second is to just look up the directions and skip the entire trading sequence!

The Oracle of Seasons trade quest involves thirteen items that span the entire overworld of the game, including the land of Subrosia. After going through the entire trading sequence, Link will receive the Noble Sword. It is also possible to obtain the Noble Sword without using this sequence, as you can simply read the clues to moving through the lost woods without the Deku Scrub actually telling them to you. If you skip down to the final item in the trading sequence, you can just follow the instructions and get the Noble Sword then.
