How do you get the shield in Twilight Princess?

Fairly early in the game you undergo the transformation into Wolf Link, and that's required for getting the shield. When you are in Ordon Village in wolf form you must sneak around behind the house near the dock. There you must carefully sneak up on the two men talking and eavesdrop on their conversation.

There should be a digging spot nearby after they run away - dig there and go inside, and hanging on the wall should be the shield. You should only need to ram into the wall with your head to knock it off the wall and obtain the shield.

You need to headbutt into the wall twice to make the shield drop.

If your shield has burned up, you can purchase a metal one in Kakariko village.

once you beat the goron mines and you are going out of kakareaco village the post man will give you a letter from mallo mart saying they have a hilyan shild. then you can go buy one from mallo mart, but NOT goron spring.

Dig up some place behind the guy with the torch's house with wolf. There is a sword on the couch. Get the shield by sneaking behind the guy with the hawk and then using Midna to travel inside a house. Get on the table and use Midna to get on the higher platform. Run and headbutt the wall where the shield is twice. It will fall down and then you can grab it.

as wolf link, early on in the game, you go back to ordon village. remember the family...the man, pregnant woman, and their 2 kids that were kidnapped by the shadow beasts? go inside their house (use your senses to find where you can enter). once inside, you'll see a shield mounted on the wall. ram into the wall by lunging with "A." it will fall and you will have the Hylian shield, which is metal and can withstand fire attacks and such.

Um I think if I can remember correctly that you get it while your doing the fire temple. Once you start it go to the kiakiro village shop and you can buy the metal shield.

Go to kakakiro village & go to Malo's store & he should have it there.

You can buy the Hylian Shield in Malo Mart within Kakariko Village right before entering the Goron Mines. It's useful because it won't burn up like the wooden shields.
