This questline begins with the killing of one of two bosses in Molten Core, called Baron Geddon and Garr. One drops the Left Bindings of the Windseeker, the other the Right Bindings of the Windseeker.

This leads to a long questline involving ancient history and rare ores, until it leads you to Silithus. You are expected to slay an Elemental Lord called Thunderaan, to be rewarded with Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseekers.

Once the quest was restricted to Warriors, Paladins and Rogues, but in patch 3.1.1, the quest was made available to any class.

A windmill blade spins 110 mph in 15 mph wind What is the ratio between the blade's and the wind's speeds?

What does a turbine blade do to the speed of wind?

A turbine blade slows down the speed of wind as it passes through, converting the kinetic energy of the wind into rotational energy to drive the turbine. The amount of speed reduction depends on the design and size of the turbine blade.

What is the function of the wind turbine blade?

The main function of a wind turbine blade is to capture the energy from the wind and convert it into rotational energy to spin the turbine and generate electricity. The design of the blade is crucial in maximizing energy capture efficiency and overall turbine performance.

In a wind turbine - does increasing the blade length or decreasing the blade length increases the speed of the turbine?

Decreasing the blade length will increase the rotation speed, and thus the turbine speed ( for constant wind speed ).

What is suction side in a wind turbine?

The suction side in a wind turbine refers to the side of the turbine blade that faces the direction of the wind flow. As the wind flows over the blade, low pressure is created on the suction side due to the Bernoulli principle, helping to generate lift and propel the turbine. This lift force is what rotates the turbine blade and produces electricity.

What is the cost of wind turbine blades and how much do they typically cost?

The cost of wind turbine blades can vary depending on the size and type of blade. On average, a single wind turbine blade can cost anywhere from 100,000 to 500,000.

How does the blade design effect energy generation?

Blade design plays a critical role in energy generation for wind turbines. It affects the efficiency of capturing wind energy, as well as the amount of power generated. Factors such as blade length, shape, and material influence the turbine's ability to convert wind into rotational energy, which is then converted into electricity. Optimizing blade design can lead to higher energy output and better overall performance of the wind turbine.

What are wind mills?

they are giant fans that spin when wind turns the blade and then it turns the tubine to create electricty.
