To Defeat Hooktail you must lower his Health from twenty to zero after you do that he will try to trick you, don't fall for his tricks then he will eat the audience he will then gain ten more health points, finish him off and you win.

Note: the Cricket Noise Badge will help Win because it slows him down and makes him Tired and weak.

First you find the red sound effects badge and select it. This is his weeknes. Now get your most powerful partner (Koops is who I would sugest).Then just use your most powerful attaks and evenculy he will die.

You must get the Sun and Moon Stones from Shhwonk Fortress, and place them in the two gray pedestals that have holes in them at the beginning of Petal Meadows. Then, two buttons will appear. Use Koops's hold move to hit one button, then, jump on the other one. The Warp Pipe-shaped rock will bust open, revealing an actual Warp Pipe. Go through it, and it will take you to the entrance of Hooktail Castle.

You must acquire the Stone keys from Shhwonk Fortress to the other side of Petalburg. Talk to Mayor Kroops in the pink house and, afterwards, the gatekeeper will let you through. Once you have the Stone Keys, they must be placed in the two stone pedestals found in the first area of Petal Meadows. Once you've done that two switches will appear. To press both simultaneously you face away from one switch, press and hold "X" to use Koops' hovering ability. While you hold the X button, walk up to the other switch and hit it at about the same time as releasing "X." The pipe to Hooktail Castle will then appear.
