you don't need to waste 55 quid on an adapter u can connect it your laptop but it must consistently be on charge so u will waste power and money u can just buy a 15metre Ethernet cable of www.amazon.co.uk for a fiver and connect it to your wireless router easy then u will have full connection for 50 quid less than an adapter so dont listen to those people who say u must get it there's no other way they didn't think why there was an Ethernet port on their xbox just like the one on their wireless router

if you carnt just connect it to the router then you can just have your laptop connected wirelessly to the internet and the plug a cable from you xbox ethernet port to you laptop ethernet port and then if you view you connections you will be able to right click or go to the top of the screen and choose the option of bridging a connection, but this will proberly not be very fast so yiou might lag abit on live

Your xbox has to be online, and your laptop, and the computer has to be vista or newer, then go to your xbox and check if it detects it, if it does detect computers in the area, follow the steps to set it up.
