I lost my Dad when I was 19yrs and what I wouldn't give to talk to him again. Sometimes you have to let by gones be by gones and regardless of how you feel give in and be the bigger person as life is too short to carry grudges that you will regret when it is too late. Some people need closure and not talking with someone does not get you that - whatever the issue is they both have to forgive one another and to be able to move on and converse before it is just too late. Unfortunately you cannot force your daughter to do something she does not want but you can explain such things to her and if her and her Dad are both head strong sometimes being so much a like may keep them apart. All you can do is try. As I said though you don't know what you have, had, missed, regret, or wish until its gone then you will want what you can't have - she needs to understand that before she will give in. Think of everything they are missing. There is no right or wrong as it always take two but placing blame and grudges can be a lot to carry for a long time - it would be a great weight lifted for both to talk and carry on - if for only a moment.
